Kidical Mass Guildford Rides – Next ride date TBC
Guildford’s next Kidical Mass ride is likely to be in 2025. Return to this webpage, or sign up to GBUG emails to hear further details about the next ride. These rides are organised to demonstrate the need and demand for better cycling infrastructure so children can cycle safely.
A slow-paced, marshalled community bike ride designed for riders of all ages and all abilities (children must be accompanied by a grown-up).
Kidical Mass is a mass bike ride for all ages and abilities. They take to Guildford’s streets to call for safer roads for everyone. And have loads of fun doing it!
During the ride:
• Small kids on balance bikes at the front, we all go at their speed
• Stay behind the ride leader
• Stay together as one big group – at traffic lights, keep going until we are all through
• Don’t cross the white line in the middle of the road, there might be cars coming the other way
• Parents ride with your kids – kids ride closest to the pavement
• Leave a gap for marshals to move past you near the white middle line
• If you need to stop, move onto the pavement
• Smile, wave, ring your bell and have fun!
