We responded to the SCC Online Questionnaire about the College Link Plus Cycle Route. We supported the proposals, in particular the cycling contraflow on Bedford Road and allowing cycling on the footpath between William Road and Wharf Road which are essential to make this new route viable. However, we asked that details of the route (the three road crossings, transitions from carriageway to pavement and the shared use path beside Stoke Road conform to best practice in the new guidelines for cycling infrastructure LTN 1/20.
