Guildford Borough Council recently resolved to start work on a new Town Centre Master Plan and is also looking to revisit and refresh the Town Centre Regeneration Strategy . The first stage is a ‘scoping survey’, where various interested organisations were invited to submit their views. Here is G-BUG’s submission.
We are calling for a ‘hub and spoke’ network of cycle routes converging on the town centre, improving cycling between the town centre and the station, better access to the riverside, and generally prioritising active travel modes and public transport over motor cars.
